  • What is the Aurora - Lost Astronaut experience?
    Everyone's favourite tradition, Aurora Albury, returns with an all-new adventure, Aurora - Lost Astronaut A first for the region, journey with a ‘Lost Astronaut’ along the beautiful paths of the Botanic Gardens as the astronaut embarks on rebuilding their ship to escape an enchanted, otherworldly planet.
  • How long is the show / journey?
    The Aurora - Lost Astronaut experience can be enjoyed at your own pace. On average the journey takes between 45 - 75 minutes to enjoy every exhibit.
  • When should I arrive?
    Please arrive 10 minutes before your session to ease waiting times. Final session each night: Please note that the last permittable entry is 15 minutes after the advertised session start start time.
  • My booking includes several people, should we all arrive at the same time?
    We recommend that your party arrive at the same time, however entry can be made separately, ​if your party members have access to the tickets as well.
  • Can I take pictures and videos?
    Please! We're even having a photo competition for a $300 prize on our Instagram and Facebook. Pro tip! Turn off the flash in your photos and check out some of the amazing images already submitted with the tag #AuroraAlbury​ to get a head start on creative ideas.
  • Can I bring animals?
    Domestic pets, including dogs (other than those registered to assist a visually impaired person), are not permitted in the Gardens.
  • Who created Aurora?
    Aurora is a Luna Light Journey produced by LASERVISION. A favourite winter tradition has returned to Albury in 2024 with an all-new space-themed adventure - 'Lost Astronaut'. LASERVISION's Luna Light Journeys span Australia, enhancing towns, cities, and tourism operators' night-time reputation as event destination, while simultaneously enthralling the region. Aurora - Lost Astronaut is presented in partnership with Albury City Council.
  • What do I wear?
    The night-time journey is set within Albury Botanic Gardens so please wear warm, comfortable clothing, enclosed footwear and don’t forget a rain jacket or umbrella if it looks like you’ll need it.
  • How can I purchase tickets?
    All ticket purchases are made online, from this website. We recommended purchasing your tickets well in advance as there is a limited supply. Any tickets not purchased from this website are not valid.
  • I wasn't emailed my tickets
    It can be easy to mistype your contact details when purchasing tickets. If you did not receive an email to your chosen address upon purchasing tickets, please check your spam folder. If you still have not received it, please email us at info@auroraalbury.com.au with your full name, correct email address and best contact number.
  • Do babies need a ticket?
    Everyone needs a ticket to enter, however infants aged 2 years and under are free. You are still required to select a $0 'infant' ticket during checkout. Children aged 3 years and older require a valid "Child" ticket for entry.
  • Is it possible to pay by cash at the gates?
    No. Tickets are only available through the Aurora Albury website.
  • Do I need to print my ticket?
    No. Your ticket will be delivered electronically to your email address with a QR code. You can print your ticket or simply show us the QR code on your phone.
  • If I am unable to attend, can I reschedule the visit or be refunded?
    Due to the limited number of sessions, we can not offer refunds. However, you can attend at another time, and we will honour the purchase provided that you reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked session time. We want everyone to have the chance to experience this magical journey! ​ You can reschedule your booking from the ticketing link sent to your nominated email address. Rescheduling must take place at least 48 hours prior to your booked session time. If you try to reschedule within 48 hours of your booked session time, you will not be able to.

  • Do you accept Companion Cards?
    Yes, please bring your Companion Card along with your purchased ticket, and we will be happy to admit your carer or companion, free of charge, at the gate.
  • Related fees and charges
    Advertised ticket prices to Aurora - Lost Astronaut include GST, for example - a $14.50 'Adult' ticket includes GST of $1.32. A card surcharge is included in the sub-total when purchasing tickets. This surcharge is charged by Stripe (an online payment processing company). Using the example from above (1 x adult ticket at $14.50), the new sub-total would become $15. A service fee is charged by FareHarbor (the ticketing provider). This displays as a separate line item on the checkout page - 'fees' and is a percentage of the advertised ticket total.
  • What is a low-sensory session?
    Low-sensory sessions feature smaller crowds and a lower-intensity light display due to there being more ambient lighting, earlier in the evening. Attendees can fully immerse themselves in the experience without feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. The low-sensory sessions provide a safe and inclusive space for everyone to enjoy Aurora - Lost Astronaut. Don’t forget to bring along sunglasses, headphones, or your favourite sensory toy if you think it would be beneficial.
  • Can I buy a gift card?

  • Where do I park?
    Street parking is available near the Botanic Gardens
  • Is food available?
    We would love for you to support our fantastic local community eateries, many of which are very close to the garden located on Dean St.
  • Is Aurora wheelchair accessible?
    Aurora - Lost Astronaut follows established walking paths in the Albury Botanic Gardens, therefore it is wheelchair accessible.
  • Can we experience Aurora Albury with prams?
    Yes, bring the whole family. We've also updated the path around the park to make it easier for families with prams to access all of the exhibits.
  • Is this a good activity for children, elderly people or for people with reduced mobility?
    Absolutely! Rediscover your inner child. Aurora Albury is a family friendly event suitable for all ages! The journey can be enjoyed at your own pace and is wheelchair accessible.
  • Will there be flashing lights in the show?
    Yes, certain installations contain flashing lights. If you, or anyone in your family, have an epileptic condition, consult your doctor prior to attending.

  • What happens if it's raining?
    Aurora - Lost Astronaut will go ahead in the event of rain or wind, so check the weather forecast and dress appropriately; be sure to bring a rain jacket and/or an umbrella. Encouragingly, any drizzle on a given night would provide visitors with a unique experience because it creates another medium upon which the lasers and lights reflect. If the weather presents a risk to safety, for example, a severe storm, we reserve the right to close Aurora Albury, in order to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors. The decision will be made to cancel the show by 4:30pm on the day. Cancellation: If we need to cancel certain time schedules, an email and/or SMS will be sent to all ticket holders. A notification will also be posted on our Facebook page. Guests can reschedule their visit by following the directions in the supplied email.
  • Will the lights affect nature?
    Our priority is minimising harm to the trees, plants and animals within the Botanic Gardens. We have specially designed installation devices and methodologies that enable the lights to hang from the trees without harming them. We also encourage our community to stay on the guided pathways to minimise damage to the surrounding foliage.
